Abstract
결론
1988년 1월 4일부터 1989년 12월 31일까지 연세대학교 치과병원 소아치과에 내원한 신환을
분석 연구한 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다.
1. 신환의 연령은 4세 이하가 52.5%를 차지하였다.
2. 신환의 내원 동기는 치아 우식증으로 인한 치과질환이 56.5%, 교정치료가 11.0%, 외상
성 손상이 10.1%, 기타 22.4%였다.
3. 성별분포는 남아가 55.7%, 여아 44.3%였고 남아의 경우 여아보다 의뢰된 경우가 많았
다.
4. 거주지 분포는 마포구, 경기도, 서대문구, 은평구, 강서구, 양천구, 영등포구, 구로구 순이
었다.
5. 전신 병력을 갖는 환자수는 4,753명중 428명(9.0%)이었으며 그중 97명이 정신 박약을 보
였다.
6. 손가락 빨기, 혀 내밀기의 습관은 5세 이하에서 많았고 이갈이, 입술빨기, 구호흡습관은
6세이상에서 많이 나타났다.
7. 신환의 내원 시기는 1월, 7월, 8월에 많았고 4월에 가장 적었다.

The author analyzed a total of 4,753 out-patients of the department of Pediatric
Dentistry of the dental hospital of Yonsei University from January 4., 1988 to December
31, 1989 for the purpose of making public oral health plan more effective and the
improvement of the hospital management system for better clinical dental practice.
The results are follows ;
1. The out-patients under the age of 5 composed of 52.5% of the total group.
2. In view of the chief complaints, the dental diseases due to dental caries ranked the
top (56.5%), and orthodontic treatment(11.0%), and traumatic injury (10.1%), others
(22.4%) ranked the next.
3. As for the sex distribution, the number of the male patients (55.7%) dominated the
female (44.3%) and it showed the tendency that male patients were refered from local
clinic more than female.
4. The children resided in residency area of Mapo Gu, Kyungki Do, Seudaemun Gu,
Eunpeung Gu, Kangsu Gu, Yangchun Gu, Youngdeung Po Gu, Kuro Gu in the
descending order.
5. The number of children with the seven systemic disease was 428 out of 4,753
(9.0%) and 97 among them were cerebral-palsieds.
6. Such habits as finger sucking and tongue thrusting were more common with the
children under the age of 6 and bruxism, lip sucking and mouth breathing were more
common with the the those 6 or more years old.
7. The out-patients reached in January, July, August and the least in April.
